Eductional trip to Biržai

On 16^th September a large group of students, mostly sixth grade students, went to the north of Lithuania. The purpose of the trip was to learn more about the nature and the history of northern part of Lithuania. First of all, we visited the Biržai Castle and got acquainted with its history. There we even were allowed to lift the replicas of ancient arms and coin money ourselves. After that, we inspected sinkholes which are typical to this region of Lithuania. We learned how they formed during the centuries and explored their upper layer. Next, we went across the longest bridge over the lake and visited the building of an old mansion. Finally, after visiting a small zoo and Likenai spring, we came to the mound. There we had dinner and spent a great time. Having spent the day on an educational trip, we found out a lot of new things and experienced great adventures.
